Some notices about the forum

Well, at least my question gave little activity on the forum?lol. My intention was not to create problems between the members. I just wanted to express my wonder about the lost ?atmosphere? of the old board.

I'm on the side of Randomman as for the responses. Also I prefer something more substantial than a ?great? or ?thanks?, but and these answers are a kind of interest. But I disagree with him about the ?begging for responses?. When someone starts a topic is reasonable to interest for the views of others about the fight. And I think this is the reason for making topics in a forum. It is not begging. It is also sense, if someone is not interested for the fighters to ignore it. Personally I am fun of celebrity?s catfight, but I have not view for the majority of young actresses so my participation is not so easy. Nobody is obliged to answer to anyone, but it is not matter of supplication. And of course it is logic; if there is not interest for one topic the creator does not look back.

That?s why I missed the old board. Because I love the dialogue, the discussion and more than all the disagreements at decent levels.That is why I put the voting on my issues; because I want to know the view of others for the fight. And the voting is the easiest and simplest way when someone doesn?t want to speak or to show his (her) identity. And this is reasonable, because our fetish is a bit ?special?? If you look at the identities of many members are members for years, but they haven?t made an issue or haven?t given an answer?

These few and I apologize if my issue was the cause of confrontation and misunderstanding. Peace my friends ... let the girls fight...

When I switched boards at my old site, I noticed a bit of discontent from people who didn't want to register on the boards but hey, that's up to them.

My problem is I just don't have time to post since I got my new job. I didn't plan on Nova to have a cliffhanger at the end of the world title tournament but that kinda worked out I guess.

As far as replies go, I'm one that doesn't get replies...don't know why...don't really care. I see hits on topics, and I know somebody is looking at it so that's pretty cool.

However, what I write is written for me, and me alone. I only share because that's the kind of guy I am!

If pro-style wrestling is not your thing, so be it. I'm gonna keep on posting when I can (or at least until K or G tell me otherwise...but then again, we'll probably end up having to wrestle for control of the boards then :lol

I agree with a lot of what you said. My favorite 'fighters' are also from the 90's and early 00's (some exceptions though). Many of the 'new' faces I don't know or care for. I know that not many are interested in the characters I use but I just can't write (or read about) a story if I'm not interested in them.

Kim & Ginny:
Many of my stories have never been transferred to the library. I did e-mail about it a long time ago and you did reply?I then remember asking something to which I never got a reply.

I'm thankful for your different story pages but I do have a few suggestions. First, the pages are a maze which makes navigation hard. I'd bet that there are stories I would love to read but haven't found. Second, a little cleaning might be in order?I mean, what does "new" mean? A 1 month old story? Two, six ?12 months? On the Kim and Ginny's Tournament Site page there is a blinking "new" icon next to "**LAST UPDATED** January 8, 2007". Maybe you could put the "new" icon and the date after the name of every story and remove the icon after a set time (say three months).

If you liked the story a "Hey, that was awesome!" would be far better than nothing at all.

And this kind of attitude turns me off of writing anything (and clearly others as well). The only 'payment' I receive?or hope to receive is some kind of appreciation (any kind of feedback is nice but positive is even better). I suppose you get paid for the work you do. I don't get anything*, yet it takes time and effort to write a story (the fact that it is voluntary doesn't change anything). If you like a story is it really too much to let the writer know? And this site even has the "Thanks" button to make it easy. And really, is asking for feedback the same thing as begging for a response? Have you considered that your feedback might help to make better stories, stories more to your liking?

*That's not entirely true as I do get something from writing?I would though much rather read than write.

Desperate? Yes, a person's salary can be seen as positive reinforcement; if you don't get paid you don't go to work. If my story isn't appreciated, why should a write another one?

Generally speaking: I'm not one to discuss things. As I once said on the old board I'm not interested, nor do I have time, to participate in discussions about who would win and why. The reason why I don't read a story is most likely that I don't know the combatants or care for them. I also want there to be a story not just a combat description. If I haven't read a specific story I will not make any comments. Naturally. If I didn't like a story I will not comment...unless I really object to something. If I didn't like a story but see potential I will make suggestions. If I liked a story the least I will do is hit the "Thanks" button.

Email us and let us know which ones. Could be we "lost" them (unlikely) or maybe they're available on another site (probably) or perhaps they were put on one of our other sites (pretty sure you've already checked those!) Or maybe another reason...

On the Tournament Site the "last updated" date SHOULD BE correct. If a story/tournament hasn't been completed we show the last time it was updated. IF it IS COMPLETE we remove the date altogether and don't have one. (Probably after 3-4 years we could assume it's dead and not going to be continued, but we (Ginny) felt that leaving that date would let folks know that it's UNFINISHED and that we HOPE IT WILL BE...if not by the original author, perhaps by someone else(?)

While we would CERTAINLY LIKE A READER TO POST A RESPONSE letting the writer know his story was read/appreciated - it's obvious that if people are wary of registering to post a story, they're ALSO not going to register to comment on a story.
Do we like it? NO! But a long time ago, Kim and Ginny decided they would write for themselves and share the stories with the Internet. IF someone wanted to say "thank you" we'd say "you're welcome" but if NOBODY ever bothered to say anything, we'd just keep writing to please US and to HE*L with everyone else. (But that's just US!!)

Wrong number. Shoulda been "Raccoon" instead of "Amateur". All the stories I've posted on this Board, or the previous one, are in the library, I think. Well, except one. And I absolutely agree with the "...to HE*L with everyone else." view.
